On the front of the printer, is it showing 13 or 16 amber flashing lights?
Each time that the printer is showing either 13 or 16 amber flashing lights, this means the printer is reading that some or all the ink carts are out of ink.
STEPS:
- Press and hold down the resume button (amber light) for 10 seconds.
- Once completed, open the printer hood to see that some or all of the ink slots will no longer illuminate red.
This means that the printer has stopped reading the chip on the tank. That is the goal.
NOTE:
The goal here is to get ALL ink tank slots in the printer to no longer illuminate. Once this has been accomplished the ink carts can be filled in the printer without taking them out and having to go through this process again. If taking the refillable All Black Ink carts out of the printer to refill, this process will need to be done again.
