The Proof Positive® Window provides a pixel-perfect preview of the print data before printing, including solid areas and halftones. This makes it easy to review the artwork and confirm the correct separations before sending the file to the printer.
The number of separations is shown in the upper-right corner. Use the arrow buttons to move between each separation.
The FILM/INK toggle provides two views: INK shows a full-color preview, including halftones, while FILM shows each individual color separation. The feature supports spot-color vector PDFs processed from Separation Studio NXT, and Vector spot-color files processed from Adobe Illustrator
The window also displays:
- Print Size – The dimensions of the print data.
- Film Size – The available sheet or roll media size selected under the PRINT tab.
- Print and Film Size – A quick way to confirm the artwork will fit on the selected film before printing.
With the Proof Positive Window, everything can be checked before printing, helping ensure the right separations, the right size, and the right print every time.
NOTES:
AccuRIP Emerald and Separation Studio NXT share the same Proof Positive Window, but only AccuRIP Emerald displays a live halftone preview.
Black artwork preview: The color preview defaults to a black background. If your artwork is single-color black, switch to FILM mode to make the artwork visible in the preview.
