AccuRIP® Emerald Enhanced Accuracy Feature

Enhanced Accuracy helps by adding a line or box around the print data's perimeter without interfering with the actual print data. The print head passes over this area with every pass, keeping it heated throughout the print and provides more consistent ink coverage and registration.

Some printer brands (such as Canon and HP) use heat in the print head to properly lay down ink. When the print head passes over an area with no data, it can cool down. If it doesn’t heat back up quickly enough when it reaches the next area with data, portions of the print may come out lighter than expected, which can lead to exposure issues. Enhanced Accuracy can also help printers that have difficulty maintaining consistent print-head alignment.

The added line or box can be trimmed or taped off the film before exposure, so it won't affect the final screen.

With the Print Queue empty, go to the PRINT tab for the Enhanced Accuracy drop-down for positioning. Choose the desired option:

Click APPLY, and the setting will be applied to the next file sent to AccuRIP.
