The Ink Section Toggle Is Grayed Out in AccuRIP® Emerald

If the Ink section in AccuRIP Emerald appears grayed out, this can be due to:

• Using a non-certified printer model
• Having the Certified Printer Override feature turned on

The ink toggle is grayed out in a neutral position.

If the ink toggle is grayed out in a neutral position, check the Certified Printer Override setting in AccuRIP Emerald Preferences:

• If you are using a certified printer model, turn off the Certified Printer Override option to enable Freehand’s certified printer settings.
• If you are using a non-certified printer model, the ink toggle will remain grayed out by default. You can still print by adjusting settings directly in the manufacturer’s printer driver window or by certifying the printer using the Certify Printer option in the File menu.

The ink toggle is grayed out on “Select Tank” or “Auto ABI”

If you are using a certified printer model that only supports one of these ink modes, the ink toggle will be grayed out on the certified mode, either Select Tank or Auto ABI. This ensures the correct ink delivery method is used for your printer.
