Replaced printer with same printer model; not printing

When replacing a printer with the same brand and model, such as swapping an Epson Artisan 1430 for another Epson Artisan 1430 for example, the original system printer driver must also be replaced. The computer identifies printers by their unique hardware ID, which differs even among printers of the same make and model. The previous printer driver remains linked to the original printer's hardware ID.

To ensure the computer recognizes the new printer, completely remove the old printer driver and reinstall the updated driver from the printer manufacturer's website. Before replacing the printer driver, it is recommended to close AccuRIP Emerald. This ensures that when Emerald is reopened, it detects the newly installed printer driver to establish a successful connection with the new printer.
