Fix printing errors with AccuRIP Emerald on Windows by resolving driver issues, clogged printheads, or incorrect settings. Step-by-step guide.
First, check the printer's health:
Print a nozzle check from the genuine manufacturer printer driver utility. If the printed nozzle check shows signs of a clogged printhead, run cleanings from the printer driver utility. All portions of the print must be clean.
If the nozzle check is perfect, proceed to Printer Driver Rebuild instructions. Otherwise, address the clog before continuing. Check the ink levels in each tank or use a proper head cleaning fluid such as Amaze-INK.
- Canon users: A clogged printhead may only show the PGBK section printed. This is not the portion of the print head the ABI feature uses with Canon. Clean it using the Canon printer driver utility (up to 3 deep cleanings or 5 regular cleanings) until the CMYK portions are all clear.
Printer Driver Rebuild:
For users with a clean Nozzle Check the issue might be with the printer driver or port assignment. Here’s how to fix both.
Even if your printer prints a clean nozzle check, it might not be using the correct printer driver for AccuRIP. Windows sometimes installs a generic printer driver that works for basic tasks, but AccuRIP needs a genuine manufacturer printer driver.
