AirPrint Driver Issues (MAC)

Apple is getting very aggressive with creating an AirPrint driver. Properly running printer drivers can suddenly stop printing if the driver converts to AirPrint. Here are the steps to take if the printer suddenly stops printing:

1. Close AccuRIP.

2. Open your Mac System Settings/Preferences, go to Printers & Scanners, and select the printer driver. Under "Kind" check to see if it is listed as an "AirPrint” driver.

3. If yes, delete the printer driver.

4. Download and run the genuine printer driver installer directly from the printer manufacturer’s website.  During installation and setup use a 6-foot or shorter USB cable directly connected to the Mac to avoid any WiFi or Ethernet connection issues. Under "Kind" it should properly show "the printer's model”, with no mention of AirPrint.

5. With a proper genuine manufacturer’s printer driver installed print a Print Test page from the AccuRIP Support tab. Once this is successful you can begin printing from graphics applications.
