Using an Epson 1430 on WIFI and trying to print a file but receiving a “Print Canceled” error?
This error is coming from the printer's connection. The proper way to connect the printer is using a six-foot or shorter USB cable directly connected from the printer to the computer.
The Epson 1430 printer went end of life (EOL) in 2017. USB is the best connection type for modern OS versions.
NOTE: Should you require the printer to be positioned more than six feet away, we suggest utilizing a "USB to Ethernet printer server." This is a recommended solution for older model printers. By connecting the USB printer to the printer server, you can then connect the server to either the Ethernet network or your WiFi router. This setup will restore your WiFi capability, as you will be connecting to the WiFi router instead of directly to the printer.
