Received a PostScript Error or nothing is printing (AccuRIP® Black Pearl, Ruby, or 1.03)?
STEPS:
- Restart the printer and computer. If using a sheet feed printer load a few sheets of plain paper. If using a roll of film leave the roll installed.
- With the legacy AccuRIP version open locate the toggle switch next to the printer icon.
- if it is Red (off) slide it to the left Green (on) position
- if it IS ON, switch OFF then back ON
NOTE: if anything was stuck it will now print. If this doesn't fix things, move to the next steps.
- From the File Menu choose TEST print. Does that print?
- If that prints open Adobe Illustrator or Corel Draw, make a NEW blank page, create a simple square then print through the AccuRIP driver. If the file from Adobe or Corel prints you are resolved.
- Try to print your previous failed file. If it fails there is a PostScript issue in that file that needs resolving. Try moving the file to a NEW page and/or convert any fonts to curves or outlines.
IMPORTANT NOTE: All legacy software prior to AccuRIP Emerald and Separation Studio NXT have officially been discontinued and no longer supported as of January 2023; any issues with legacy software will require either the trial of Emerald/NXT to be downloaded or purchases made.
